4.4#60

Does anyone have any ideas on how to set up #60 in section 4.4. I know you have to use the formula for the volume of a cylinder but how do you account for the thickness of the metal?
Also, in 4.4 #15 and 17 what is meant in the directions by even and odd multiplicity?

For 4.4 #66,the top is "three times thicker than the sides and bottom" means you need three tops--the area of the top*3. Based on the given information, you can get 355=πr^2*h, h=355/(πr^2)--I think you got this part. Then the surface area will be A(r)=top+sides+bottom, A(r)=3πr^2+2πr*(355/(πr^2))+πr^2. Graph the function and find the minimum point.
I hope this can help you.
