Friday's Lesson and #41-47 odd on the hw

Could someone summarize the gist of anything new you did on Friday?
Also, I don't really get how to do the section in the homework with 41-47.
Thanks

The thing to remember is to refer to the initial velocities as triangle trig, w/ Vo as the hyp, Vox as the x value (cos), and Voy as the y-value (sin). the equations are
Vox = Vo*cos(theta)
Voy = Vo*sin(theta)

Theta is always the angle at which the object is shot, as in 41-47.

Usually, when the problem refers to initial V, that is Vo, the hypotenuse.

The last two equations are the key to getting the answer

Y = Yo + Voy*t - 16t^2
X = Xo + Vox*t

Here, plug in what the previous equations give you.
Triangle trig is key in these problems.
