SAT II Practice Test

I don't really know how to approach #26. I think the way it's worded is what's confusing me. Does anyone understand how to do it? It seems like one of those trig problems where we get like sixteen solutions, and this one looks like it's only asking for one of the many solutions... but I'm still not sure.

Also... for #38: does anyone know how to use the nCr tool on a TI89? I did this the long way...

For #26, what i did was:
sin(10x)=0
10x=pi*n
x=(pi*n)/10
since it is in the interval [0,pi], the first solution will be 0.
the second solution will be (pi*1)/10, and the third solution will be (pi*2)/10, which is equal to 0.628.
Therefore, the answer is E.

That's what I did as well.

nCr is in the math menu under the probability menu(7) and i think its the third or fourth item. If you want to do 7c3 you grab the nCr from the math menu then type in 7,3). So it looks like nCr(7,3).
