Number 33
For number 33 from section 3.5, does anyone know how to go about finding the rule of the function f(x)? How can we fill in the chart based on just one set of values?

For number 33 you use the graph above the problem to answer the question. The graph is of f(x) and they give you all the values of x they want you to find. Therefore, you look at the value of x in the chart and f(x) equals the y value for that x coordinate. Then to do g(x) you take the value you found as f(x) and use that as the new x coordinate to find the y coordinate. For example, When x is -4 y is -3. Therefore, f(-4)=-3. Then to find g(x) you plug in -3 for x. Therefore, g(-3)=-1. Hope that helps.
