questions
I have the same problems...I am not sure how to find the horizontal asytopes and the holes and I do not understand #62A thus not able to continue.

Im not sure if this is right but for 62A its asking you to express v in terms of u.
youre given that 1/F=1/u+1/v and now you also know that F=50. substitute in F to get 1/50 =1/u +1/v. Now solve for v:
1/v=1/50-1/u
find a common denominator
1/v=(u-50)/(50u)
v=(50u)/(u-50)
also an asymptote can be defined as a line getting infinitely closer and closer to a line but never touching it.
you know that u can never equal 50 because than the equation would be undefined, but however u can get infinitely closer to 50 but will never equal it and therefore you can conclude that y=50 is the horizontal asyptote
